I have some celebrity blogger friends. Ok, I have two, back home in Singapore. And now and then they post about random people coming up to them to say hi or wanting their pictures taken with them. I have never been close to experiencing either side of it. Until last week.
I’d had dinner with some friends and among them was one of the celebrity bloggers. Everyone else left after the bill was paid except her because she was waiting for her boyfriend to come pick her up. So I waited with her until he called and said he was in the area and trying to find the restaurant we were at. Figuring he would be there soon enough, I rushed off to my next engagement. As I was walking to my car, I saw him (who I had never met before) in his car, looking rather lost and so decided to point the way.
Me: Hey! XX is just around the corner over there.
Him: Oh! Ok, thanks! Er… how did you know I was looking for her?
Me: Er…I’ve seen you on her blog!
I don’t quite remember his reaction because the minute that came out of my mouth, I was stunned at the realisation of what a complete nerd I really am. I couldn’t stop thinking how weird and stalkerish that sounded. But I swear it’s only cos’ she posts pictures of them together on her blog all the time!

I read very few strangers’ blogs with pictures of themselves so this doesn’t really come up. But I do see a lot of random old acquaintances personal photos on FB, so I know what their husbands look like etc. etc.
of course you can, please do!! i acty know this person, whose blog i read but it’s still really weird not having met her bf before but knowing exactly what he looks like!
